H...d8...6/4

An early morning picture of us chatting with the girls online...I'm so glad we got it all figured out to be able to do this, makes being in Houston, away from them a bit more bearable.
So, Julia got this "hotsling" that her mother-in-law got her (after she saw Ju's attempt in making one w/o a pattern, which would have worked, except it was a tad short.) Anyhow, we tried it out today...I don't know, seems like the trusted baby bjorn would work just fine, but it is hip & in...

Mikenna & I spent our afternoon checking out some local spots. It was a fun day!! Julia had researched some fun, inexpensive things for me to take Mikenna to, and so here is a days pictures at the Children's Health Museum & the Children's Museum of Houston.

At the Children's Health Museum, we learned about our bodies and genes & tried out some fun "brain teasers" which we may have to bring Tim next time to help us solve it.

We spent a fun hour at the Children's Museum of Houston...it was a bit crazy with the number of kids, but Mikenna was excited to try everything out. A favorite was the Kidtropolis, where they had jobs, stores, etc. that were kid-sized. We had fun in the grocery store and bank. Mikenna insisted on bringing her purse along, but I was able to convince her that it needed to stay in my purse. Funny how she has to bring her purse along whever we go now.

Hard to believe it's been a week now!!
