Today, I sat and helped the girls with their violin practice.
With Kiera, it was fun!! We laughed, we practiced, no grumbles, no tears. Went over parts that needed "fine tuning". Very enjoyable.
Kassidy, she thought she was going to die. Her sore throat was "killing" her. She played through her parts. Didn't smile. When I said she could put her violin away, she did and then collapsed on the couch. "I'm SO tired!!"
With Kaylee, grumble grumble, snap snap...her not me...I would try to calmly explain her bowings and where she needed to fix them...she would snap, "That's what I WAS DOING!!" UGH!! Please!! I may not be able to play, but I know enough to tell she is not bowing correctly :P
Then tonight, I took the Suzuki B2 music downstairs to practice on the piano. Kaylee peeped her head around the corner. She started "singing" the violin part. So I suggested, "How about you play your violin with me?" She ran off, a few minutes later came in with her violin. We played together for 30 minutes.
Peace. Simple enjoyment.
She gave me hug and said, "That was fun mommy."
