sidenote: don't do this to your children...Kaylee has been old enough to help watch her sisters for while now...I've left them to run short errands and etc. on a few occasions. Our ward had a RS b-day dinner one evening that Mike and I attended, once again leaving Kaylee to be our trusted babysitter. We emphasized that they were not to answer the phone or open the door...not to even peek to see who was at the door, etc. etc. We finished with dinner and act. by 8, and thought to go over to Home Depot to buy the materials for above bed. We decided top stop at the house to check on the kids and "test" them on their ignoring the door status...Pulled up, I rang the doorbell, no answer...rang it again...still no answer...Then Mike hopped out of the car...and begins to peer into the doorway window (which is a bit stain-glassish)...he grabs the door handle and rattles it...(he comments that the girls look a bit nervous as the keep looking over at the door...I start asking him to stop, but he doesn't.) He then inserts his key and partially opens the door, rattling it and etc. as Kaylee leaps out of her seat and rushes to the phone...as I yell, "it's just us Kaylee!! It's just us!!" They were not happy with Mike's prank. We were at HD for less than 10 minutes when we got a phone call, "When are you coming home? We're scared, Mikenna is crying." Now Kaylee won't babysit for us.
