Sunday morning we went to glean apples from an orchard in Finley. Uncle Ted wanted to take some apples home to Seattle, so we figured we'd all go and pick. Not sure how many we actually ended up with, but we spent all day today applesaucing. My mom didn't have to work and with Uncle home, we thought we get it done!
We got our routine in place and spent the day chopping, cooking, straining, jarring, and processing...ended up wtih about 98 qts!! No burnt ones either (which I just opened up a "burnt" jar from last year...disgusting!!
So, canning is done for the year!!
