Kiera is twirling a blanket around in the family room, sometimes twirling, sometimes hiding under the blanket. The rest of us watch her while we finish up our dinner. As she is twirling the blanket, she is saying something like "I am here, now I'm not. I'm here, now I'm not." Next thing you know, she starts crying. We ask her what's wrong, she cries, "Kassi threw a cup at me and it hit my foot!!" We ask Kassi, "Why did you do that?" Her reply was, "She said she was doing magic and that she wasn't there anymore." I ask her, "You think that your sister is now all of a sudden that great of a magician that she can really make herself disappear?!?" She nods her head.
This A.M. I check on the girls as they are playing in the game room with Olivia. Mikenna says to me "Olivia can't play with the Barbies because she puts them in the pretend water." I respond with, "Well, that's ok, she can play in the pretend water." Then Mikenna explains, "Well there is real water in the pretend water, so it's getting the Barbies wet."
This P.M. girls are watching "live" TV. Commercial comes along...Mikenna says to Kiera, "Fast Forward Kiera!" Kiera replies, "I can't. It's live tv." Mikenna rationalizes, "Yes you can! Just rewind a little bit then you can fast forward!"
In the van...we've been in the van a few minutes when Mikenna asks Julia, "What is Olivia eating?" Julia, "It looks like chapstick?" Mikenna, "No, it's lip gloss." Julia, "Did you give it to her?" Mikenna nods saying, "I tried putting it on her and now she is eating it."

we are hysterically laughing right now! I can totally see all these scenes playing out in real time and have experienced a few with my own children. One is always guaranteed to laugh at some point in the way that they think or lack there of. Happy Birthday Kiera. I hope you had a great birthday yesterday!
