The pooper...

Am I a horrible mom for posting this? I'll let you decide...I'm just trying to get it down, before I really forget about our "pooping" situation with Mikenna. Perhaps I have mentioned already, I'm not going to "search" the archives to see if I have already...just figured I'd recap and update...

So, I'm pretty sure our issue began in 2006...Sept. 5, 2006. How do I remember this...It was the 1st day of preschool for Kassidy, I was getting ready for kids to show up. Then I realized Mikenna (just 13 m) needed to do her #2 duty. Now, if I remember right, she'd already been having problems, but we'd been able to avoid BIG PROBLEMS by just putting her on the potty, me holding her on the potty and then her just plopping it out...but this morning was different. She was trying and trying...I pulled her off the commode, realized this was not going to be easy, desperately called my friend Karla (who would have been heading over with her daughter for preschool soon)...she ran right over with all of her remedies that she'd used on her own kiddos...we had Miralax, milk of magnesia, suppositories, enemas...etc. etc....luckily, we didn't end up using anything...(but eventually tried everything through the next weeks, months...)...we were able to "birth" the problem...really, I felt like I was helping her "give birth"...in fact, here is a picture of her later in the day...

A little girl shouldn't have these type of issues!!

Well...I won't recap over the past few years now...but to update...we still have issues...

When Mikenna lays her head down at the table, says she's not hungry any more and is tired & wants to go to sleep...I know it's time to put her on the potty. (If we are lucky, this happens about every 3-4 days. Not an ideal pooping situation!) After she finally decides to get it all out, she then won't get off of the potty.

"I'm not done yet." "There's still more."

Can't get her on...Can't get her off.

Here she is in her "I have more" moment. A partial smile: compared to moments before when she was screaming, "I don't have any poo poos!!" "Nothing is coming out!!" "I. WANT. TO. GET. OFF!!"

Ok...I just did a search and I think I've only mentioned our "situation" once in blog land...anyhow, here is one other pic...(I won't post the TWO gross ones that I'd taken for my sister to see.) from Feb. 2007
She's pointing to the floor, telling me she wants off.

Are you kidding? She was only 13 months?? I hadn't remembered she was THAT young! Crazy! Tanner will be 3 this month and just pooped on the potty for the FIRST time!!!! You spent a LOT less money in diapers than I did! I'm glad she has it mostly figured out now!
